I love reading it--every page has a different emotion, so that's how I read it: fast, slow, loud, happy, quiet, sad.it's all in there. I first heard/read this book at a mom's play group and I ordered it immediately. It's fun to read and has a good message: you can have different moods on different days and it's all okay. My 9-month old enjoys it now for the bright colors (and hopefully the way I read it). but I am sure it will become even more important to him as he gets older and can learn the lessons.
I found this book by accident at the library. I love this book and have my librarians to thank.
I love, love, love this book. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful, the rhymes are short and simple (not the typical Suess-style, but I like it just the same). I am both a mom and a therapist for children, and this book is just awesome. It's a very easy way for children to begin to learn about, explore, and explain their emotions. The board book version is great for younger kids. I give this book to all of my friends when they have kids, and I would highly recommend to any parent or person who works with children.
My 22 month old absolutely loves this book and she often refers to the different colored moods during the day to describe how she feels. This is such a great, unique Dr. Seuss book, illustrated by different artists, so the illustrations have their interpretation on the Seuss content. Not only is it beautifully illustrated but it is a lot of fun to read and teaches children that it is okay to have many different feelings and moods on any given day. Such a treat for children and parents.
outstanding book, great message - comforting reminder that even on the off days we all have, things usually turn out alright and go back to normal. grateful to michelle for recommending.
